Wouldn’t it be great if you could take a really long URL and personalise / customise it by giving it a shorter link such as “map-to-my-office” ? Well, now you can !
When you create a ShrinkLink, you can (optionally) create a friendly name (or alias) for the link to personalise it.
example : www.shrinklink.co.uk/ JohnsSurfingVideo
example : www.shrinklink.co.uk/ My-Latest-Blog-Entry
Choose the words that best describe the link you are sending and enter them in the second text box.
Your Friendly Name must be more than 6 characters long and you can use up to 30 if you need to.
Use letters (upper or lowercase), numbers, and dashes (-) to seperate words, but no spaces.
(Spaces are automatically converted to dashes anyway)
If the Friendly Name is available (not already been used by someone else) then it is created.
But if it’s not available, then you need to try to think of another one – so prepare to be creative !
For example, instead of using JohnsSurfVideo, try Johns-Surfing-Video
Why not create your own Friendly Link now .. ?
